Health Haven Hub

Health Haven Hub is a non-profit incubator and office space run by the venture capital firm Health Venture to support early and seed stage start-ups in healthcare fields. 

CTNext funding supported start-up costs for the Hub’s space at 195 Church St, which opened in 2018.

In 2019, Health Haven Hub held the St(h)ealth City Pitch Competition, where 9 teams pitched at Yale’s School of Management before a crowd of 90 and judges from YNHH and the Small Business Resource Center.
The Hub continues to host events and programs, including:

  • an annual LeadHERS Summit feature women in technology and support female founders

  • iHaven, a 10-week entrepreneurship program for students from five area universities, run in partnership with the City of New Haven’s Small Business Resource Center.

Telesphora is a team of Yale graduates using predictive analytics to identify the early warning signs of opioid overdose spikes, based on regional patterns of drug distribution identified by machine learning. 


The team won the treatment track at the 2017 national HHS Opioid Code-a-thon and was featured by Wired.com.
